With the rapid development of high-speed rail, intercity and subway, tram is quietly rise which has been widely forgotten. As a low-cost green rail transportation way, it has more and more market in the second and third tier cities. Of course the boom has also benefited from trams project examination and approval procedures of simplicity. In fact, trams are common in developed countries. By 2010 statistics, at present, the opening of the tram 58 cities all over the world is more than 400 lines, a total mileage of 4000 kilometers. The trams are mainly concentrated in Europe, but traffic congestion problems force Europe back to take the large capacity of the rail transit as priorities due to the energy crisis, environmental pollution and the shortage of land. Modern tram is low cost, so it has come into being in many European cities. Paris and Strasbourg have opened four operating lines; Germany Karlsruhe tram line web is 130.8 km long; IN the Hungarian capital Budapest, tram is the backbone of public traffic, the city has 28 streetcar lines, total length of 247 km; China's Hong Kong trams which drives from Kennedy town to the west of the east end of Shau Kei wan with more than 30 kilometers, it has been operating for over 100 years. More than 40 cities of The United States are planning or building trams, including Washington, Seattle, Atlanta, New Orleans, Salt Lake City, etc.
1. The green smart cultural integration is the need for the development of rail transit traffic
Transportation is indispensable to a civilized society basic industries, it is the lifeblood of the national economic and social development, it plays an extremely important role in ensuring sustainable and healthy development of national economy, improving people's living standards, and promoting the development and national defense construction. In the 12th five-year plan, our Country clearly put forward: "according to the different size and characteristics of the city ,we can set up the differentiation of rail transit development goals to push the network construction of light rail, subway, tram or other urban rail transit ". From 2012 to 2013, the planning and construction of our country the tram step into a developing stage. There are 25 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) of 72 cities have put forward the construction of streetcar line intention or plan, more than 40 cities have conducted tram road network planning. The planning routes are more than 50, planning range is more than 1300 kilometers, and the total investment will exceed 300 billion Yuan. In the current rapid development of rail transit height, what is the future direction of the rail transit? On April 22, 2012, premier Wen attended the theme of "green, smart" Norwich industrial exposition, and at the meeting he pointed out that our country needs to walk a new industrialization path to achieve high technological content, good economic benefits, low resources consumption, little environmental pollution and good human resources advantages. “Green, smart" perhaps is the answer to the question.
2. The green smart cultural integration is the inevitable choice of rail transit traffic
Since reform and opening up, China's vehicle ownership has increased by more than 100 times; Over the past 10 years, the pollutants has increased about 50%; our national environmental protection department of planning and design institute pointed out that due to atmospheric pollution in Beijing ,the number of deaths from respiratory and cardiovascular system diseases were 41, 59 people every day. In 2004, nearly 358000 deaths have died due to air pollution, causing economic loss of 152.74 billion Yuan. The urban air pollution traffic exhaust pollution is the first factor. With the accelerating urbanization, transportation infrastructure resources is limited and the demand increases, leading to serious traffic congestion, increasing energy consumption and air pollution ,and noise pollution.
Transportation is the important infrastructure in the country; it is a special material production department of the national economy and social public services and the leading industry of economic and social development. As the new government emphasizes the development of urbanization, the urgency of the rapid development of the city, traffic is more and more strong, which also poses a problem of environment pollution and energy. In order to solve the urban traffic congestion, energy tension, land scarcity, and serious pollution problems, it is inevitable to build green intelligent transportation based on emerging strategic industries.
3. The green smart cultural integration traffic is the need of social development
"Green", needs to highlight "energy saving emission reduction”, and guides the traffic participants in the transformation of the travel mode and consumption idea, constantly raises the proportion of green travel; we need to encourage the production and use low energy consumption low emission vehicles, and also we need to found a resource saving and environment friendly integrated transportation system which is appropriate to the construction and the population resources and environment carrying capacity ."Smart", highlights "technology innovation", gives full play to the talent and technology advantage, speeds up the construction of traffic science and technology innovation system, increases the intensity of transformation and application of technology research and development to promotes the construction of informatization, intellectualization, industrialization, and improve the traffic system of science and technology level; We can rely on the scientific and technological progress to create the innovation management and realize the connotation development, structure optimization, industrial upgrading and extension services. "Humanism", reflects "people-oriented”. traffic development sets to provide citizens a safe, convenient, fair and harmonious traffic service as the basic starting point, and adapts to social and economic development, coordinates with historical cultural features; Establish and adapt to the modern transportation planning, construction, operation, management systems and mechanisms to strengthen the construction of traffic civilization, improve the consciousness of modern transportation, and provide a good traffic environment for the city and citizens . “Green transportation, intelligent transportation, cultural traffic" is the organic idea to realize the good traffic. The “cultural traffic” is the fundamental and core, the "intelligent transportation" is the means and ways, "green transportation” is the conditions and requirements. Through the combination of organic, we can realize the sustainable development of rail transit.
Therefore, our university put forward the construction of the integration of urban traffic, especially in the rail transit system planning, the green, smart, quick, humanities of the key technology to solve the problems that exist in the development of urban traffic in the area .and we hope to form a batch of research achievements with independent intellectual property rights application to lead the industry technology progress, drive the development of regional economy, and provide strong support for building a green intelligent transportation.
